Adam A700 - Adam Aircraft president Joe Walker believes his company’s VLJ, the A700, will get the FAA’s blessing late this year. So far, two A700 test aircraft have logged nearly 500 hours, and a third aircraft is expected to join the fleet in October.
ATG Javelin - Prototype continues to fly; certification expected in 2007
Cessna Citation Mustang - The Citation Mustang is the first VLJ to be fully certificated by the FAA.
Diamond D-Jet - On April 18, 2006 the Diamond D-Jet completed it's first flight. Preliminary specifications of the D-Jet, which comes standard with a three-screen Garmin G1000 avionics system, include a 5,071-pound mtow, 315-knot max cruise speed, 25,000-foot ceiling and a 1,351-nm range. Diamond claims orders for some 125 of the “under $1 million” aircraft. Certification is scheduled for late 2007.
Eclipse 500 - An Eclipse spokesman said the certification estimate for the Eclipse 500 is “looking good.” He said Canadian certification of the Eclipse 500’s Pratt & Whitney Canada PW610F powerplant has already occurred.
Embraer Phenom 100 - Embraer is planning on starting production work on the Phenom 100, in the next 30 days.
Honda Jet - What will Honda do with their VLJ program? The prototype is equiped with Garmin G1000 avionics, has a maximum speed of 393 knots and can reach FL 430,
Spectrum 33 - Upstart VLJ company launches all-composite entrant. Priced at $3.65 million the aircraft is slated to have a high-speed cruise of 415 ktas and an IFR range of 1,750nm.
